MOOSE SAFARI on Taiga Spirit at Lentiira
In the region of Kainuu lives only 3-4 differents species of deer: moose ( or elk), wild forest reindeer, few roe deer and semi-domestic reindeer.
During the safari of about 3-5h, at dawn or dusk time we will look for the largest of them , the moose .The moose is an impressive mammals and sound of them at dusk create a special atmosphere.

Meeting the brown bear in its natural environment ,the wild taiga, is an unforgettable experience and of course for photography enthusiastics an opportunity to take the shot of a lifetime from the comfort and safety of our specially designed Bear hides.
The Brown Bear and other rare animals such as the wolverine ( Gulo Gulo) can be viewed from one of our specially designed hides. Normal hides are equipped with comfortable viewing chairs, sleeping places, hearing amplificator system ( for listening birds) and dry toilets.
Our larger eight persons hides offer a panoramic view of the site at a comfortable viewing distance with also the possibility to take pictures.
The program included one evening and morning for moose observation ( Alces Alces) and another evening to discover the countryside with beaver watching ( elks have been seen often on the way to beaver site).
The accommodation lodge is at an ideal place near a lake in middle of forest, with quietness guaranty.
Location The lodge and hides are situated close to the Russian border in the wild region of Kuhmo near the village and border station of Vartius.
