Capercaillie photography.

We get ready in the evening, put ourself comfortable for the night that we will pass in the hide-tent. Capercaillies males come in the evening to the site and sleep in the trees it s why we have to arrive before there are in the area. The hide-tent has a matress of 5 cm , winter warm sleeping bag ( -20 or -30 C), a small camping chair and a close basket as toilet. Picnic is provide . 

To be quiet and minimize movements and be ready before the sunrise it s important key success to get nice photos.

Group size: 1 – 4 persons per site.
Season time: 24.4 – 08.5
Duration: All night, from about 7-8.00 pm to 8.00 am (depending the site)

Hides or tents of 1-2 persons

Price: 130 €/person (inc use of hides or tents, snack, sleeping bag, mattress in hides/tent, drive to the place)

We have several hides or tents to watch and photograph in the forest for Capercaillie and an swamp area for Black Grouse .We can offer week program including accommodation, meals, photographing hides for bears, black grouse, capercaillie, small birds and water birds, beavers,…

8 days/7 nights between 24.04. and 08.05.2023:

3 nights bears hides, 2 nights capercaillies hides, 2 mornings black grouse. Includes accommodation, breakfast and one warm meal (around 16h), sandwiches in hides, transfer to/from hides from accommodation. Transfert Kajaani airport.
