Bed & Breakfast accommodation at Lentiira, Kuhmo
We offer year-round bed and breakfast accommodation in a historically valuable wooden house in Lentiira, Kuhmo. Lentiira’s Sairasmaja is an old wooden nursing house, built by the Red Cross before the Winter War started. Construction work had to be stopped due to the Winter War but afterwards the house was completed in 1940. The health services were provided until 2006. Since 2007 the house has privately been owned by Sabrina Logeais, Taiga Spirit.
The pale yellow house is located in the center of Lentiira. Lentiira’s cultural sites and Kainuu’s unique nature are nearby ( the Frienship park ).
Comfortable and quiet rooms are equipped with individual beds upstairs in the house. Two rooms have beds, private toilets, showers and free Wi-Fi. Liners and towels are included in the price.
The ecosuite studio is equipped with shower, inside compost/dry WC and kitchenette. On ground floor. Pets are welcomed in this room.Own entrance.
In 2026 , a new room available in 2026 , on ground floor. a douvle room, kitchenette, shower and combustible wc and sauna . ( the use of whole chalet will be different pricing the only the room)
In high season, we also use apartments at 200 meters from the main building.
Pricing
- 50,00 € per night for one person
- 70,00 € per night for two persons
Breakfast is included the price. Breakfast includes cereals and/or porridge, milk, yogurt, orange juice, bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese, fresh tomatoes / cucumber, coffee, tea and biscuits.
Parking on front of the yellow wooden house . Drive the small road between the 2 buildings ( yellow house and long flat building look like a motel) to get on front of the yellow wooden house.
DO NOT PARK on front of the motel style building , it s a private neighbor.
Please notice that the closest shops and fuel station is at Kuhmo or Ala-Vuokki about 45 km.
Environmental considerations:
- Use a minimum of water and bring your own durable water bottle (we have spring water from the tap)
- Close the lights when you leave the room
- We change towels only on demand during your stay
- Recycle trashes
- Smoking is prohibited in rooms and in-front of entrance
- Geothermy heating system
In 2026 we will have a new room available . Project is co-financed by European Union, rural development/ Elävä Kainuu Leader ry at 22 400 euro.
The Liskap investment project will increase accommodation capacity by installing a new building, which will include a guest room, bathroom and sauna.
