Wildlife holidays

The wolverine is an arctic loner and rare mammal which is active all year around in the wild taiga forest  of Kuhmo area . From a special hide designed for photographing, you will get the possibility to watch and photograph the wolverine in his natural environment. The season is from March to October. From March to beginning of May, the wolverine will move on the snow.

Every year, up to 3 wolverines have been seen and photographed from these hides.

From17th/ 20th April, from same hides you can also photograph bears, white-tailed eagle.

The hides will be use in daytime (early morning or afternoon) and in afternoon/night as soon as bears are awake.

Waiting for the wolverines or others mammals to appear , you can enjoy photography the birds of the taiga forest :  siberian jay,  common jay, bullfinch, crested tit, willow tit,....
